Three-string Guarni violin and flutes in the museum of the ruins of San Ignacio Mini Jesuit Mission in Misiones, Argentina. The Jesuits who arrived in the region to save the indigenous from Spanish/Portugese slavery by converting them to Christianity found that the Guarani had a strong connection with and afitinity for music.
